If you are a parent of a child with special needs, you can provide your child with a word free recipe! List the 6 steps by using pictures.

Encouraging words you as a parent can say to your child throughout making the recipe; looking good, marvelous, beautiful sharing...

It's Never too Late

It's never too late to learn something new.
It's never too late for your child to learn something new.
It's never too late for you to learn something new.
It's never too late for you as a parent to become involved in what your child is learning.

UP TO 25
This challenging fun activity can travel anywhere!  You can play as a family on the kitchen table or when traveling on a plane.  Once you teach your child, they can play independently and teach their friends!

For Grades 1 and UP

The materials needed:
a ziploc bag or pencil box,
10 pennies, 5 nickles, 3 dimes and 2 quarters and
a di.

1. Identify or review the value of each coin
2. Explain the game: The objective is to be the first player to reach $0.25. Roll the di to see who plays first. Take turns rolling the di and add the coins. The first player to reach $0.25 wins.
(If you roll a 6, that could be equal to six pennies or a nickel and penny.  Remember, there are only 10 pennies! So you can exchange ten pennies to equal 2 nickles or 1 dime).

You could always turn gathering the materials into a game.  Find a bag/box. Find 10 pennies, 5 nickles...

Encouraging words you as a parent can say to your child throughout the game; great job, way to go, you're catching on, super...

So go on, try it out!
